On-arrival training | Lesce-Bled
20th-24th January 2013
On-arrival training is part of every EVS project with at least 6 months and for that I just spent last week at Lesce-Bled on a five days intensive program of teambuilding, hopes and expectations, rights and responsabilities about EVS project, cultural approach, networking and project management a task that took us beyond imagination! And fun, lot’s of fun, of course!
5 days in Bled sounded magnificent due to all that I had heard about the place but I must say that spent them with totally strange people rationalizing feelings and full of energizers was not my idea of fun. But was mandatory and so I went.
Rather from what I was expecting, it felt like home and the group had a really good dynamic since the first moment, not only in between participants but also with trainers, Alenka Oblak and Henk Persyn, with the support of Jerneja Modic. And of course, being around loud portuguese is always a bless!
At the training we were able to to discuss practical information but also rationalize some processes that we will engage in the future if not already and also broaden our own contact network, knowing that there are more people in the same situation as I am, far from home and many, many times, lost in translation!
At the end, I belive our hopes and expectations were achieved and new friendships were made!
