Škis’ stork

The project “Škisova štorklja” (Škis’ stork) is designed for student families. The basic idea of the project is the active involvement of young families in raising public awareness of the issue of student families. Another basic idea is to inform young families about novelties and benefits for themselves.

“Škisova štorklja” was first organized in 2006, when the project was made up of the competition for the best article of student parents and a project where we collected toys, clothes and books for their children. In the academic year 2007/2008 the article contest transformed into a photo contest on the theme of “The Future”. In the next few years the themes were “Happiness”, “Let’s play” and “Spring”.

In the academic year 2011/2012, the project got a new look. With the intention of active involvement of children in the project, the photo contest has turned into a contest of children’s drawings. The first such contest theme was “My favorite cartoon character”. In recent years the project also includes workshops suitable for children of different age and the exhibition of drawings made in the contest. The exhibition takes place in the student canteen in Rožna dolina.

The project also includes informing young parents through brochures, e-mails, and student clubs about novelties in the legislation, subsidies and important benefits for young families.
